I wrote a more detailed recipe to a complete nouveau + kms installation in the forum: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-6655021.html Since I'm not particularly expert, I did so to leave other Gentoo users to experiment / comment the HOW-TO. The hope is to carry the whole recipe here.

Someone able to confirm what I wrote (even partially) can obviously carry the how-to here.
