Sorry for the downtime today. The ISP had some routing issues in the area. Also had some hardware issues. All should be resolved

Google Ads have returned. This should help pay for the few remaining costs of running the wiki.

I will be making (later this week) the ability for logged in users to turn off ads (or I may disable all ads for logged in users) Thoughts? email me

News.png 2009-02-09 Site Downtime

We had originally planned on upgrading to vmware-server 2.0, but it seems the modules have problems building against the hardened sources. I apologize for the downtime from 15:30-17:30. All systems are back-online.

Introduction to the Gentoo Linux Wiki

Welcome to the Gentoo Linux Wiki, this resource has been created to provide a place for the Gentoo community to post Tips, Tricks, Tutorials and other Linux information.

Getting Started

We are looking for people to help convert old articles. Take the time to read the wiki guidelines and how to use it. Anyone may post articles as they see fit; however we ask that you try to follow our Naming Conventions and Style Guide. For those new to the wiki please check out the excellent Mediawiki editing guide and test out what they have learned in the Sandbox.

For those that can edit: The big TODO list and convert articles from http://gentoo-wiki.info

Live discussion is also going on in #gentoo-wiki on EFNet. Live changes on #gw-rc.
